The maximum subsidy available is S$160,000, which includes S$80,000 EHG, S$30,000 PHG and S$50,000 GPF housing subsidy for resale flats.

EC recipients receive a family allowance of up to US$30,000 for a couple if both are Singapore citizens, and up to US$20,000 if the couple consists of one SC and one SPR. When the spouse of the SPR acquires Singapore citizenship, they can also claim a citizenship supplement of $10,000.

When you receive a housing grant, the money is paid in full into your CPF account and ultimately used to pay for your home. No cash is distributed during the process.

If you sell your home, the grant amount will be returned to the CPF together with the accrued interest. This includes CPF savings that you used to pay the down payment or monthly mortgage.
