I looked at several fence options and found this to be the best value. So I bought some chicken wire (a raccoon can’t bite). First I made square frames from PVC pipes and attached chicken wire to them with zip ties. I made this 10 cm high to ensure that my larger plants would have room to grow.

That’s why I use wooden sticks to create a “frame” around my raised beds. I attached each PVC frame to the wooden cage on three sides. On the fourth side (i.e. where I access my raised bed) – I attached the PVC frame to one of the posts (instead of both). This way the frame becomes a kind of door that I can swing open!
